The POGS systems are used daily by hospitals, clinics, first responders, emergency disaster relief teams as well as by the US Military forces around the world.

The 2006 Distinguished Alumni Award, the first ever, was presented to the scientist, inventor, and entrepreneur, a '73, '77 College of Engineering graduate who also holds a Master of Business Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
