Frank Hursey, Founder
The President and Founder of On Site Gas Systems is a pioneer in PSA oxygen technology. He was on the breathing air team of NASA’s Apollo Program, and helped develop one of the first oxygen concentrators for home use. Frank founded On Site Gas Systems in 1987. His vision was a company whose focus would be perfecting the PSA process through research and development, while providing cost-saving, reliable nitrogen and oxygen generation systems for numerous applications. Frank’s innovative and entrepreneurial spirit has resulted in On Site Gas Systems being named one of the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in Connecticut for the past nine consecutive years. Frank earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hartford and an M.S. in Business Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Frank holds a number of patents from his R&D efforts. He was recognized in 2003 by Scientific American as a Research Leader, and was honored among the University of Hartford’s distinguished alumni in 2008.
Robert Wolff, President
Robert has increased sales and expanded markets throughout his tenure at On Site. He has over 30 years of sales, sales management and executive management expertise, including owning his own sales rep group. Previously, he was VP of Sales and the Executive VP for the largest subsidiary of a $100M public company based in Texas. His experience in business development and sales management ensure the continued growth of On Site Gas Systems. Robert attended Roger Williams University, where he earned a B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in Business Administration.
Debbie Pereira, Chief Financial Officer
Debbie has over 25 years of accounting and business management experience. She has held financial leadership positions at various manufacturing and entrepreneurial organizations. Her experience includes a variety of industries including electronics recycling, kite manufacturing, consulting as well as owning her own retail business. Debbie’s expertise includes Financial Reporting and Analysis, Inventory Management, Budgeting and Forecasting, and business systems development. She has a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Vermont.
Sanh Q. Phan, Vice President of R&D and Chief Engineer
Sanh has worked alongside Frank for over 30 years, and has been with On Site Gas Systems since its inception. He has designed and developed oxygen and nitrogen generators of all types, sizes and purity levels, and a review of our product line demonstrates his innovative ability. Simplicity, reliability and efficiency are his hallmarks. Sanh is responsible for the design of our Portable Oxygen Generating System (POGS) units, which are helping to save the lives of our troops in Afghanistan, Iraq and around the world. He has also designed the only PSA system capable of producing oxygen at a purity of 99%, which is used by hospitals around the world. Sanh was born and raised in Vietnam, and endured many hardships to escape with his young brother to the USA. His tenacity and dedication are reflected in his work. Sanh has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Hartford Technical College and holds several patents.
Brian Hallinan, Vice President of Manufacturing
Brian’s expertise in Manufacturing and Procurement has played an integral part in the growth of On Site Gas Systems and our ISO Certification. Brian has been with On Site Gas Systems for over 10 years and has held increasingly responsible positions including Production Supervisor, Purchasing Manager, Production Inventory Control Manager, and Director of Manufacturing. He co-led the implementation of the company’s current ERP system and developed many of the Standard Operating Procedures for purchasing, inventory and production. His previous experience was as a Technician Trainer for Canon USA, where he helped develop a product exchange program for national retailers. Before that, he served for 10 years in Interior Communications in the US Navy sub fleet, producing on-board communications, developing training programs and administering quality programs for manufacturing and repair. Brian’s earlier education was in the areas of communication and electronics.
Christian Holman, Engineer and Quality Management Representative
Christian Holman – ISO Quality Management Representative / Electrical and Controls Engineering Manager Christian joined Onsite Gas Systems in 2009, with extensive experience in the design, programming, and implementation of electrical control systems across many platforms including Allen Bradley, General Electric, Panasonic, Mitsubishi, Siemens, Koyo, Modicon, and Delta Controls. He implemented Onsite’s ability to remotely monitor it’s generators from around the world. He has integrated many of our generators into customer’s complex DCS and SCADA systems. He was the Team Leader for getting Onsite’s commercial PSA generators UL/CE/CSA certified. Prior to joining Onsite, Christian was employed by Edmunds Gages for 14 years where he was the senior controls engineer that specialized in automated gaging equipment using SCARA robots and various manufactures of electric and pneumatic actuators. Christian earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology with specialization in automation from Central Connecticut State University in 1995. He was also a member of the Solar Electric Research Team while at CCSU.
Andrew Terwilliger, R&D
Andrew has been instrumental to our Research and Development since 2008. He has improved product performance and features since joining On Site and has designed and developed oxygen and nitrogen generators of all types, sizes and purity levels. Andrew is responsible for the development of our Portable Oxygen Generating System 130 LPM unit, which extended our POGS family of products. He also developed a system for NASA to produce oxygen at purity levels above 99.5% for use during space walks outside the International Space Station. Andrew holds a patent and has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Western New England College.
Mike Thibou, Field Services
Mike has over three decades of experience in both cryo and non-cryo oxygen and nitrogen gas production. He has specified, designed, installed, operated and serviced PSA, membrane and cryogenic systems throughout the U.S. and around the world. Mike’s background is the perfect fit for On Site Gas, and our customers who need nitrogen (and lots of it) for mine, oil and gas applications. He and his experienced rapid response field team members focus on the customer, and their often time-critical need for a new, leased or rental N2 systems. Mike has a degree in Mechanical Technology from Lehigh Carbon College, has been a contributing author to a number of NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health) research papers relevant to fighting underground coal mine fires, and holds several patents.
